Why phone is cheaper then lebipbip?
Hi Kirill,
You may have heard about economy of scale:
Smarphones are mainstream products made by million in China.
LeGPSBip is made in France by a small factory for a niche market called paragliding.
Wow, that’s cool!
I was considering to get a small Kobo for this, but the Yota also looks very interesting, as I don’t have a smartphone so far. I’ll definitely check this out!
Thanks Pit, the Yota is definitely an alternative to the Kobo: cheap and reliable with live tracking capability (with a simple extra SIM card).
Hi Timothee,
Is it possible to connect the yotaphone
To xc Soar?

This is one of the best Mobilephone. Amazing technology is used in this smartphone. I am really impressed to see this innovative product. This is really cool.
Does someone have good ideas, to fix this phone with velcro fastener on cockpit?
Hi Hannes,
You can check this page : https://www.lebipbip.com/gpsbip-connectivity/ See how we attached velcros around the YotaPhone protective case.
Hello,
Have you tested the autonomy of the yota phone when running xctrack?
And is it possible to charge the phone while using the bipbip using a USB splitter and an external battery?
Thanks
Yotaphone with internal GPS disabled (provided by leGPSBip) last about 12h flying.
Currently, with micro USB, there is not solution to charge and connect at the same time, but with USB-C it might change.
